Highbury College offers a hands-on Solar PV (Photovoltaic) Training Course designed to equip students, electricians, and aspiring technicians with the skills needed to install, maintain, and design solar energy systems. As the demand for clean, renewable energy grows, certified solar installers are more essential than ever.

- Components of a solar PV system (panels, inverters, batteries, controllers)
- System design and sizing
- Installation procedures and safety protocols
- Grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid systems
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance
- SANS 10142-1 and SANS 10142-2 compliance
Certification:
Upon successful completion, learners receive a Certificate of Competency in Solar PV Installation, supporting further accreditation through bodies like the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) and PQRS.
